The Places & Spaces exhibit has been created to demonstrate the power of maps. Currently the exhibit is on tour, and the website shows the variety of maps. There are traditional cartographic and geographical maps, but also scientific and information maps.
I worked with a web developer who created the database and back-end programming, while I created the front-end of the site. Green is representative of the earth, but the shade of green used is also artificial, and is also representative of computers. The site chronicals the traveling exhibit, and the repository of maps is regularly added to. There are thumbnails of random maps to the side of the page to pique intrest. Graphics, layout, and logo design, html and css.
